NICL Assistant Vacancy 2026

NICL has announced a total of 500 Assistant vacancies distributed across different States and Union Territories.

Recruitment will be conducted on a State/UT basis, and candidates can apply for only one State or Union Territory.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
• Knowledge of the regional language of the State/UT for which they are applying.

Candidates will have to qualify the Regional Language Test before final selection.

Age Limit

As on 01 July 2026

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and other reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted in three stages:

1. Preliminary Online Examination
2. Main Online Examination
3. Regional Language Test (Qualifying)

Final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Examination, subject to qualifying the Regional Language Test.

NICL Assistant Exam Pattern

Phase-I (Preliminary Exam)

• English Language
• Reasoning Ability
• Quantitative Aptitude

Total Questions: 100

Duration: 60 Minutes

Phase-II (Main Exam)

Subjects include:

• Reasoning
• English Language
• Numerical Ability
• General Awareness
• Computer Knowledge

Total Questions: 200

Duration: 120 Minutes

There will be negative marking for incorrect answers.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive:

• Initial Gross Salary: Around ₹53,000 per month (Metro Cities)
