BHEL Trichy Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 530 Posts
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchirappalli has released three separate apprenticeship notifications for the 2026-27 training session. A total of 530 Apprentice vacancies are available for Graduate, Technician and Trade Apprentice posts.
Eligible candidates who have completed their required Degree, Diploma or ITI qualification during 2022 to 2026 can apply online. The online application process started on 14 August 2026 at 3:00 PM, and the last date to submit the application is 12 September 2026 at 11:45 PM.

Graduate Apprentice – 90 Posts
Graduate apprenticeship opportunities are available in engineering and non-engineering disciplines, including:

Candidates applying for engineering graduate posts must have the relevant Degree in Engineering/Technology, while candidates for non-engineering graduate positions must possess the prescribed bachelor’s degree.

Candidates applying for Trade Apprentice positions must have the prescribed ITI qualification in the relevant trade.
Educational Qualification
The required qualification varies according to the apprenticeship category.
For Graduate Apprentices
Candidates must have completed the relevant Degree in Engineering/Technology or prescribed graduation qualification during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026.
For Technician Apprentices
Candidates must have completed a relevant Diploma in Engineering/Technology during the prescribed qualifying years.
For Trade Apprentices
Candidates must possess the required ITI qualification in the relevant trade.

Age Limit
The prescribed age range is:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 27 Years
The age is considered as per the prescribed cut-off date of 01 August 2026. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to eligible reserved categories according to government rules.
Stipend
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend according to their apprenticeship category.

Training Duration
The apprenticeship training period is 12 months (one year) at BHEL Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for apprenticeship training primarily on the basis of their marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
The selection process does not involve a regular competitive written examination for these apprenticeship positions. Eligible candidates are shortlisted based on merit and are required to complete the prescribed verification/formalities.
