MPESB SI & Subedar Eligibility 2026

Educational Qualification

The required qualification depends upon the post.

• Subedar – 81 Posts: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent qualification.
• SI Special Force – 69 Posts: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
• SI Civil Police – 312 Posts: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
• SI Ordnance/Armorer – 10 Posts: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised technical university.
• SI Photo – 09 Posts: B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
• SI Questioned Documents – 04 Posts: B.Sc. with PCM as prescribed.
• SI Finger Print – 22 Posts: B.Sc. with PCM as prescribed.

Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 01 January 2026.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age for Male Candidates: 33 Years
• Maximum Age for Female Candidates: 38 Years

Physical Standards

Candidates applying for MP Police SI & Subedar posts must satisfy the prescribed physical and medical standards.

Height

• Male Candidates: Minimum 167.5 cm
• Female Candidates: Minimum 152.4 cm

Chest – Male Candidates

• Unexpanded: Minimum 81 cm
• Expanded: Minimum 86 cm
• Minimum 5 cm chest expansion is required.

Vision & Physical Fitness

The prescribed standards include:

• Distant vision of 6/9 in one eye and 6/12 in the other eye without glasses.
• Normal colour vision.
• Candidates should not have physical defects such as knock-knees or flat feet.

MP Police SI & Subedar Salary 2026

Selected candidates will receive salary according to Pay Level 9, with the pay scale of:

₹36,200 – ₹1,14,800/-

Other applicable allowances and benefits will be provided according to the rules of the Madhya Pradesh Government.

MP SI & Subedar Selection Process 2026

The recruitment process consists of multiple stages:

1. Preliminary Written Examination
2. Main Written Examination
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
4. Document Verification
5. Interview / Personality Test
6. Medical Examination

The preliminary examination is a 100-mark qualifying examination. The main examination contains technical and non-technical papers according to the applicable post.

Physical Efficiency Test

The physical efficiency assessment includes events such as:
