Post-Wise Eligibility
The educational qualification varies according to the discipline applied for.
Technician Apprentice
Candidates should possess a 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline, including Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics or Electronics Engineering.
For General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, the required marks are generally 50% aggregate, while 45% is applicable to SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions.
Trade Apprentice – ITI
Candidates applying for ITI Trade Apprentice posts should have passed Matriculation/Class 10th along with the relevant 2-year regular full-time ITI course recognised by NCVT/SCVT.

Data Entry Operator Apprentice

Age Limit
The age will be calculated as on 31 August 2026.
- General/UR/EWS: 18 to 24 years
- OBC-NCL: Relaxation up to 3 years
- SC/ST: Relaxation up to 5 years
- PwBD: Additional age relaxation as per applicable category rules

Stipend
The stipend will be paid according to the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprentices Rules, 1992.
In addition to the statutory stipend, IOCL Marketing Division, Northern Region will provide ₹2,500 per month towards miscellaneous expenses. The notification does not specify one fixed total monthly stipend amount for all categories.
IOCL Apprentice Selection Process
