The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online registration process for JEE Main 2027 Session 1. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning programmes can submit their application forms through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application process started on 24 October 2026. Candidates can submit their application forms without a late fee until 22 November 2026. NTA has also announced the January 2027 examination schedule.

JEE Main is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to BE/BTech, BArch and BPlanning programmes at participating institutions, including NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions. It is also the qualifying examination for JEE Advanced, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria.

JEE Main 2027 Exam Schedule

NTA will conduct JEE Main 2027 in two sessions: January and April.

JEE Main 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions specified by NTA before submitting their applications.

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualifying examination in 2025 or 2026, or be appearing in Class 12 in 2027, subject to the official eligibility rules.
Candidates seeking admission to BE/BTech programmes generally need Physics and Mathematics along with one of the permitted additional subjects.
For BArch and BPlanning, candidates must meet the respective subject and qualifying-examination requirements.
Candidates should verify the required subjects and other conditions for their chosen paper.

2. Age Limit

There is no general age limit for appearing in JEE Main. However, participating institutes may prescribe separate age, year-of-passing or admission requirements.

3. Number of Attempts

4. Admission Eligibility
