ISRO Recruitment 2026: 267 Government Jobs for Assistant, UDC, JPA & Stenographer Posts

🎓 Who Can Apply?

The eligibility requirements are different for Assistant/UDC and JPA/Stenographer posts.

For Assistant and UDC

Candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree/Graduation from a recognised university.
  • At least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.32/10.
  • The degree should have been completed within the prescribed duration.
  • Computer proficiency is mandatory.
For JPA and Stenographer

Candidates can qualify through either:

  • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks / CGPA 6.32, or
  • Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with at least 60% marks.

In addition, candidates applying for JPA/Stenographer posts are required to have:

  • At least one year of experience as a Steno-Typist/Stenographer.
  • Minimum 60 words per minute English stenography speed.
  • Computer proficiency.

The required qualifications must be possessed by the closing date of the application.

 

 Age Limit

The prescribed age limit is:

Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 28 Years

The age will be considered as per the date specified in the recruitment notification.

Relaxation in the upper age limit is available for eligible reserved and other categories according to Government of India rules. The source specifies the upper age limit can extend to 31 years for OBC candidates and 33 years for SC/ST candidates, subject to the applicable conditions.

🏆 Selection Process

ISRO will use a multi-stage selection process for these posts.

Selection Stages

Stage 1 – Computer-Based Written Examination

Candidates first appear for the objective written examination.

Stage 2 – Skill Test

A skill/stenography test is applicable for JPA and Stenographer posts.

Stage 3 – Document Verification

Candidates who qualify the required stages will be called for document verification.

For the written examination, the reported minimum qualifying standard is 50% for reserved categories and 60% for the specified qualifying standard, while skill-test requirements apply separately to relevant posts.

 

💼 ISRO Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix.

Starting Basic Pay: ₹25,500 per month

Apart from basic pay, eligible employees receive allowances and benefits as applicable under Central Government rules, including:
